Korea's Number 1 Carbonated Yogurt Milk Soda has finally hit the stores in Singapore!
Looks like the Korean Wave ain't gonna die down anytime soon, I personally have gotten hooked and started on a few Korean dramas these days. Guilty as charged!

I'm a huge fan of yogurt, and I'm super happy that there are so many ways we can enjoy Yogurt now! From yogurt in tubs, to Yogurt topped with granola, fruits, to Yogurt drinks.. now we have Yogurt Milk soda!

Milkis Carbonated Yogurt Milk Soda is a delicious yogurt milk drink with a fizz. Before you start letting your thoughts run wild, I'm gonna start by telling you guys that it's actually very nice and refreshing!
The taste is unique, unlike anything i've tasted before.  But! the soft milk taste harmonizes with the cool carbonate really well, giving you a refreshing, but not too overpowering beverage.
I love that the Milkis Carbonated Yogurt Milk Soda is also not too sweet, and the fizz is actually really subtle for those who don't usually take carbonated drinks like myself. This is actually really mild! So no bloated-ness after ;)

Enriched with calcium, vitamins A, C & D, and being free from artificial food coloring, you can enjoy this beverage with a peace of mind.

This drink is so well loved in Korea and overseas as well, so I hope you guys love it too! Grab yours at 7-11, Cold Storage and your nearest Fairprice Stores today.

I wish I could put the taste of them into words for you guys, but the best way is to try it out for yourself hehe.

Selling my Olympus EPL6 + 14-42mm + M.Zuiko 25mm F1/8

Hello guys!
After a longgggg long time, I finally decided to sell my very well-loved Olympus camera because it was sitting around in the dry box and wasn't getting much use since I upgraded to a DSLR a while ago.
This was the baby I brought with me all over the world for the last 2 years, and it is still the camera I would recommend to my friends and readers whenever they came to me for recommendations.

Here are my personal opinions on the strengths of this camera:
It is super easy to use, just point and shoot.
Touch screen - allows you to focus on the areas you want
Super fast auto-focus. In fact it is muchhhh faster than all of the DSLRs and even pro-cameras i've used.
Lightweight and portable - Fits into the palm of my hands
Interchangeable lens - If you're looking to move into different forms of photography, you can change up the lenses with any lenses with M4/3 Mount, like what I did (see below)
Flip up screen (unlike EPL7, the newer version that flips down) - You can easily take selfies, place it on tables for self-timer shots etc
Wireless Wifi transfer to smartphones via the FlashAir card - upload high quality images on Instagram instantly

Olympus Pen Lite- EPL6 + 14-42mm Kit Lens (white)
For further specifications, you may refer to the olympus website.

Comes with:
Original Box
Camera Strap
USB Cable
AV Cable
Lithium Ion Battery
Lithium Ion Charger
Wireless FlashAir SD Card 8GB (worth $45)

Camera condition: 8/10
Camera works perfectly and have never given me any problem. Except for the usual wear and tear after using for 2 years.
Do refer to the photos to see if you're okay with the corner of the camera!
The paint has fallen off but it does not affect the quality of the camera at all.

14-42mm Kit Lens
Condition: 10/10 (as you can see, the sticker of the lens is still intact as well)
Always kept in drybox when not using
Comes with protective lens cap

Olympus Pen Lite- EPL6 + 14-42mm Kit Lens (white)
Bought in 2014 for $899
Now retailing at $789 at courts
Selling for $400

I'm selling at a huge discount because of the little corner of the camera :( And also, to a new owner that would show it more love that I would!
I figured it's now or never, the thing about technology is that it changes so fast that it doesn't allow us to stick to a certain gadget for too long, especially in my line of work.
But if you're just starting out and looking for a really really good one, you can give this a try I promise you will like it!

The olympus EPL6 is also the preferred camera choice of many many many bloggers in the scene. So you can't go wrong with it!

Here are some of the photos i've shot using the 14-42mm lens:
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital Lens 25mm F1.8 (black)
Micro Four Thirds MFT M4/3 Mount

Pretty wide angle and very high performance, an everyday lens that I thoroughly enjoyed for most of my photos on Instagram and my blog.

Aperture Range: f/1.8-22 Two Aspherical Elements Movie & Stills Compatible AF System Minimum Focusing Distance: 9.4" Seven-Blade Circular Diaphragm

Condition: 10/10 (as you can see, sticker on the lens cap is still intact)
Comes with protective lens cap
Always kept in dry box, no scratches or wear and tear
No more warranty

Bought it for $550 in Early 2015
Selling for $400

Here are some photos i've shot with the 25mm lens

Perth Travelogue : Fremantle Market & Cottesloe Beach

Read my Perth Travelogues Part 1 and Part 2

I'm sorry these posts are taking so long! But the amount of photos we took were INSANE. You know you don't think much about just snapping and snapping away because you'll think that having more shots = higher chances of getting a good photo?

Well when you've taken like 30 shots of the same PAOs (aka the ones below), they all start to look the same and you end up spending so much time narrowing them from 30 to 5, and then 5 to 4, 3, 2, then 1. By then so much time had been wasted already. ARGH.

Can you imagine doing that for like 3000 photos??? It's insane. Lesson learnt hahaha

Anyway for those that have emailed me personally to ask my for my full 7 days 6 nights itinerary in Perth, I hope you guys found it useful!

Today's post is on the 3rd part of our trip, Fremantle Market and the Cottesloe Beach
The Fremantle Market is a very famous "market" in Perth where you can get really nice food, fresh produce, meats, fruits and vegetables etc, all in one local bazaar that feels really homely and nice.
Have I mentioned how much I love the aussie folks? they are all so friendly and really really nice! I didn't meet a single mean soul when I was there even though people often told me that some of them might be pretty racist.. hmmm.
Anyway, the Fremantle Market operates only on Friday and the weekends, so if you wanna catch this, be sure to schedule it accordingly.
The iconic red brick walls that lead up to the market.
In there you'll find lots of things to eat, like this really cool fusion "Kung Ba Paos", so we call them in Singapore. At Fremantle, these had so many people queing up for them!
You can choose between a ton of flavors and all of them were made super well. Fried chicken was amazing, and the soft shell crab variant was pretty bomb too.
Coffee is a must when you visit Perth because it's so CHEAP and GOOD.
As you can see I went cray with it. Haha
Apart from just shopping and eating, which was really fun enough, we spotted this little corner called the "baby animal farm" where tourists or visitors could go up to hold the animals and just pay any amount you want to the "moving zoo"
I saw the snake and couldnt resist myself hehe. It was sooo cute and really tame even though my friends were freaking out at the side watching me playing with it.
Check out my new necklace!
There was also a sleepy koala there that didn't care about anything that was happening around him, haha.
Outside of the market, I would recommend heading to the port area for some really good seafood. Their fish n chips are supposedly really good and famous but we were all so full from just eating and binging along the way there we couldn't accommodate anymore food.
Such is life. Haha
But anyway, if you happen to walk by this train track, do snap a photo at this spot for a really good view of the surroundings and the ferris wheel at the back!
I'd recommend spending about 3 hours (or more if you're a camwhore like me) at fremantle market in the day and then returning again the next day if you didn't manage to try most of the food there. If your schedule permits, of course.
I kinda regretted not going back to fill my tummy's worth of fish n chips. Hmm.

We drove to Cottesloe Beach afterwards and the winds were insane. Like i mentioned earlier I visited perth around december last year and it was stilll transitioning into summer.
The temperatur was around 18 to 24 degrees with winds at the seaside, it was perfect!

Check out the wind and my hair in the video below.
Recommended time allocation: 2 to 4 hours
Depending on whether you're gonna go for a dip or not.
It would be an amazing spot to catch the sunset, or have a romantic picnic with your other half.
Just be sure to clean up after yourselves because the beach is so clear and beautiful!

For dinner that night, we decided to go for something non-western because we were getting a little tired of having western food for the past 4 days.
I was craving for sushi that day and Sarie recommended we give Mr Munchies Sushi a try. I've seen this place featured on many instagram accounts before so I was really excited to try it!

To be honest, it wasnt thatttt great but it was not too bad either.
Servings were huge, and it's the same concept as Maki-san, where you choose your own ingredients to make your own Maki, or salad.
But hey, a good flatlay and sushi photo can make up for everything eh?

All About Edgy Yet Feminine

Hola! Today's post is something short and sweet, I hope you guys enjoy!
I'm currently in the midst of packing for Melbourne (that is happening tomorrow) *excited* but as usual, looking through my photo album got me distracted and I realised I haven't shared these 2 outfits with you guys yet!

The first one is something really MY STYLE. Chic, effortless and basic with a twist.
Gone in the past were rompers that only meant a shorts version of a dress. Today, we have rompers in good quality and cuts that really pushes the entire outfit to a whole new level.
This one by Topazette is a self-manufactured one, and I love self-manufactured items because you can tell how much effort and thought has been gone into the design and the making of the piece, now that they have put their name on it.
The #MadebyTPZ Vest Romper is exactly that. I love the incorporation of a vest, with a built in bandeau that ties everything together.
The end result? CHIC and EDGY yet feminine. Major love!
I paired it with my usual minimalistic accessories and my white bag because i'm basic like that. HAHA

Shop #MadebyTPZ Vest Romper here.

The second outfit is slightly more girly, something I wouldn't usually head out in because I've always been a little conscious about my chest area (ahem, they are small but who cares right). But I have recently found certain tops/dresses with some cuttings that would actually accentuate my figure, no matter how tiny I think they are.

Shop #MadebyTPZ D-ring skirt here.

Hope you guys are having a great week! For more goodness, please visit Topazette because they just launched a brand new collection.
Do keep up with me on my other social media platforms when I'm away - especially Instagram and Snapchat (@mongabong) because sometimes I think i'm obsessed with those 2 platforms.

How to enjoy a pampering facial treatment anytime

$

Day by day, our skin cells are degenerating as we age. And ageing can be a pretty scary thought, so I want to do my best to slowdown the ageing process, as much as possible.
Every few months, I head to my aesthetics clinic for a pampering facial session, and each time, my therapist would ask me to come back as often as my schedule permits. But how many of us can devote time for such pampering treatments often? Given the fast paced life I live, I can barely get enough sleep!

I'm sure I'm speaking for so many of us here, right? We are often forced to choose between work, time, beauty, and having a life. As sad as it sounds, it IS TRUE haha.
I find myself looking for less fuss free, and more convenient ways to get my day going. Beauty? The more convenient, the more efficient, the better. I'm all about finding the most effective alternative!

So... today I'm super excited to be sharing a new product in my beauty stash- Iontofrom Genesis x Skin! This is where Beauty meets convenience, like FINALLY!
What is Ionto?
The Ionto is also a device that can bring the luxurious facial experience to you, anytime, anywhere. It is a battery operated device that uses the Iontophoresis to boost the penetration of skin care ingredients deep beyond the epidermis. Iontophoresis uses micro-current to deliver skincare ingredients deeper into the skin layers through the repulsive effects between the skin care ingredients and Ionto. It effectively overcomes skin impedance, allowing skin care products to be fully absorbed, producing more efficient and effective results.

The Ionto is best used together with the Genesis X Skin facial masks, which have been specially formulated in 3 different variants, Blossom, Radiance and Perfection to target each skin types more effectively.

Because I've been focusing on anti-ageing and firming these days, I opted for the Blossom Face Mask by Genesis X Skin that helps to refresh and rejuvenate my skin for a youthful, revitalized complexion.
So here's how to use it:
#1 Apply Blossom mask from Genesis x Skin
#2 Run the Ionto from the middle of your face, outwards / upwards
#3 Repeat as much as you want
What I like about the Ionto is that it reacts only to human's touch, so you don't even need to turn it off/on, it immediately comes alive when it comes into contact with skin. How amazing!
I usually repeat the massage all over my face for about 10 to 15 mins, before removing the mask and continuing with the Ionto again until the residue of the mask is absorbed.

Here's how I would do it!
The Ionto not only provides relaxing, gentle massage to my face which aids blood circulation, the micro-current vibrations also ensures maximum efficacy in the skin absorption.
So when you are using it on top of the Genesis x Skin facial masks, you can be rest assured that your skin is getting that extra BOOST in absorbing as much nutrients from the mask as it can!

On top of addressing your skin needs. the Ionto also helps to achieve a toner, more V-shaped face and reduces the appearance of fine lines if used appropriately and for a prolonged period.

I can attest to that because there was once I used it on one side of my face only and I could see one side of my face being firmer, brighter and slimmer! But of course, I proceeded to work it's magic on the other side as well so I didn't manage to slap a picture for you guys. But try it for yourself to see the results!
But yes! If you're on the lookout for a product that can bring the facial experience to you at your convenience, the Ionto is perfect for you!
I've been using it while watching my Korean shows, editing photos, snacking before the television etc. Basically the Ionto is so handy because it's been formulated in a way that is easy to hold and manoeuvre across the face. Yes, even the hard to reach areas because of the pointed tip!
All you need is one hand, and the other hand can be freed to go about doing your daily activities. Don't have to lay there for 2 hours, totally maimed, haha!
Overall, this is a really good device that is priced very reasonably and a must have for every working woman. Remember, there are no ugly women, there are only lazy ones! You've got no excuse to be lazy anymore once you have the Ionto in your life.

PRICES

Genesis X Skin masks : Blossom / Radiance / Perfection ($60 for a box of 6 sheets)
Ionto : $128

5 WAYS TO LOOK YOUNGER

$
0
0

The Koreans are always known for their impeccable make up skills, translucent smooth skin, and somehow they all look much younger than they actually are?
For so many years I've been learning all the latest Korean skincare and make up tips from Get It Beauty and I'm glad to say that I have incorporated a few tips in my own life that I feel all of you should know.

SO LET'S BEGIN WITH THE 5 WAYS YOU CAN LOOK YOUNGER, LIKE THE KOREANS!

I like to use a Shimmering pearl stick all over for that natural, non-sticky glow.
You can either use it under, over or even mixed it into your foundation for a more natural finish.
Catch Get It Beauty to see how Suzy and other professionals use it!
Remember, you want to look like you have such good skin naturally.
In the show, one of the participants looked pretty young but didn't look quite her age due to the heavy make up techniques she was using. I like to tight line my eyes with eyeliner on days when I want to look younger and have my eyes look brighter.
If you guys are unfamiliar with tight lining, it is basically a technique where you line super close to your lash line. And if possible, go over your lashes and this helps to define your eyes, giving an illusion of fuller looking lashes.

If you're trying it out for the first time, i'm not gonna lie - it's gonna be quite intimidating! But once you get the hang of it, this trick will change your life.
This K-beauty trend has been on a roll for years and it's still not dying down yet, we wonder why!
Well... because it instantly changes up any look to make it look more youthful, sweet and soft. Kinda like innocent lips, eh?
By simply applying a darker color in the inner part of your
lips and topping gloss over, you can achieve soft, kissable gradient lips that look like you just took a bite of sweet fruit.
So innocent and it will definitely help with looking younger!

Now besides make up tips to look younger, Get It Beauty also taught me several lifestyle tips and habits to kick out of my life in order to stay looking as young as I can!
Many of them I'm sure you're also guilty of, and I bet you didn't know the effects of doing these right?
I love drinking with a straw because I'm lazy sometimes. But did you know that if you continue to drink through a straw for a prolonged period and frequently.. the act of pouting can actually cause fine lines around your mouth?
I bet you didn't know that. Mind blown right haha.

But yes! One of our most neglected body part when it comes to anti-ageing is our lips, in my opinion. We apply heaps of anti ageing products to our face and neck, but what about our lips?
We can be more aware whenever we're drinking through a straw now!

Here's another amazing one. Washing your face when you've got make up on.
Did you know that washing your face with a cleansing foam or cream is actually harmful to your skin?
Not only does it tug on your skin, which is a big no-no when it comes to anti-ageing tips because you want as little friction as possible, but you're also actually spreading dirty make up all over your face and washing your skin with it?
Ew now that I think about it. I am so so guilty and grossed out! Its amazing how I never put much thought into the things I was doing on a daily basis. These are the little things you thought you were doing right, but you might actually be damaging your skin as the days go by!
TADAHH! My youthful make up look is complete ^^
Don't I look younger and fresher?
I love that Get It Beauty is super informative and covers all aspects of beauty from inner well-being to external beauty. Experts share tips and tricks about fitness and wellness, skin care and make up! It's a truly educational series that I find myself learning SO MUCH after each episode, it's like there are never ending things to learn about beauty!

AND YAY, you can watch Get It Beauty on Viu app or viu.com, every Thursday with subtitles. Totally free and legal!
Viu also offers Download-to-stream capability. Stream or download, it's your choice!
This means that you can download the shows into your phone, and watch them without using the internet when you're on the go!
I use this function very very often especially when i know that i would be spending some time getting from places to places. The best part, download is FREE and you don't even need internet to watch the episodes so you can watch it anytime, with no disruptions! If you prefer to stream it, what I like about the app is the multi-device synchronisation feature that allows you to watch the show from where you left off. Across PC, tablets, smartphones etc, as long as you're logged into the same Viu account.

You wont have to worry about stopping a show halfway and going back to look for the same spot again to continue watching, across all of your smart devices. How attentive is this app really?!

The first episode features the lovely Suzy and she talked about her personal anti-ageing secrets and the second episode features the popular 2nd female lea of Descendants of the sun, Kim Ji Won.  Not gonna give away too much, you guys should catch it if you want to look as beautiful and young like her :)
I love how every episode targets different beauty issues and have different themes from anti-ageing to haircare to gender traits! So if you have not downloaded the app to catch it (or other korean dramas), please do so!

This is an app I have personally recommended to so many of my friends and I would love to share with my readers too.
I hope you guys enjoyed this little post of mine and found it helpful x

Melbourne Travelogue Part 1 : Exploring Melbourne City + Brunching

Hello guys! It's me again and I'm back with another travelogue! Hopefully I wouldn't abandon it halfway this time (like I did for Perth), so sorry!
Read Perth part 1 , 2 , 3
Nevertheless I'm still trying to finish up my Perth travelogue and have given you guys my itinerary. For those that are unaware, you may email me for my full itinerary and I'll send it to you!
This trip to Melbourne is my graduation trip (sorta) to myself. Despite being there for work, I am still blessed with the opportunity to travel with my closest bunch of girlfriends. We also celebrated our tenth anniversary of friendship this year so this trip was a really meaningful one.

Not only did we celebrate graduation and our 10th year friendship, it also signified the starting of our lives as real adults, stepping into the workforce. One last good trip before all the responsibilities come in, eh?

First 2 days of Melbourne were spent in Melbourne city. I love this city for being so vibrant and fun, the architecture were all colourful, and came in very interesting shapes and sizes. Really different from Perth and it confirmed my love for Australia, hehe
First stop, Hammer and Tong
Melbourne is famous for their cafes and I'm thinking of making a list of cafes I visited in Melbourne and all over the Great Ocean Road Trip so I'm gonna save the details for that post.
I would recommend this place for their coffee, and soft shell crab burgers. yum. My friends enjoyed their pancakes a lot too and there was an interesting twist on this dish - maple syrup ice cream instead of the usual syrup you'd get. People with sweet tooth would love this.

Hammer and Tong
412 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC 3065, Australia

CAR
The first day was running all of our errands and getting settled in. Picked up our rented car, a Toyota Kluger 7 seater driver from the airport and was so shocked at how big it was. Literally.. We could fit 4 to 5 people at the back seat. 😂 For a 1.63m girl like me, the car was a little too tall. But thank god for allowing us to have such a smooth and safe trip!
We rented our car from Thrifty, one of the cheapest for the car we found.
The cost added up to AUD$1,100 for 7.5 days split among 5 people.

SIM CARD
We headed to Optus in town to get our SIM cards fixed. There's one in the Melbourne airport but the queue was soooo long we thought it would be stupid to queue up for hours for it.
The store in the city was much bigger and they had more staff to help tourists get their sim ready. I would highly recommend Optus because it's really cheap and good! $2 AUD for 500 MB data per day, and if you exceed the 500MB data limit, you can top up another $2 for 1 GB data that will last you till 2359hrs for the day. This plan comes with unlimited phone calls and texts within Australia as well. So in total I spent AUD$20 for super good and fast connection during the 8 days I was there!

The first day, I was wearing something really casual and comfy. I paired this slit dress from Shoplovet with a pair of comfy sneakers and a denim jacket for a laid back look.
We knew nightfall was coming too soon (sun sets at 5:30pm during winter) so we decided to head to the Brighton Beach to catch the gorgeous sunset. The Brighton beach bathing boxes were as beautiful as it looked when I saw it online. There were about 30? Or more of them? All lined up across the beach and we were very lucky to be able to get photos without too many tourists.

I would say that this spot is definitely a must go if you're looking for good photo locations. The different coloured houses made it really interesting and easy to shoot! And when the sun sets, boy, the Sun rays are worth it.

We had our graduation photoshoot here, and was very lucky to have Andy with us on this trip to capture our moments.

For dinner, we headed to a Korean restaurant located in town, called Joomak.
It was super difficult to locate and as usual, I got lazy and decided not to bring my camera with me because it was too heavy and my hands were too cold

I would recommend the kimchi stew, beef bulgogi, seafood kimchi pancake and the Japchae!
Please skip the fried chicken, it was so pathetically small and dry. Nevertheless the restaurant served really good kimchi and other dishes mentioned! I would say much better than the ones I've had in Singapore so if you're up for some good Korean food, try this out!

Day 2 : Melbourne City
We decided to try out some cafes before driving out the Warburton Redwood Forest for our photo shoot. Headed to Hardware Street as there were 2 famous cafes -Hash specialty Coffee and Roasters and Hardware Societe located there. It was a Saturday so the cafes were both really crowded. Hash specialty had a waiting time of 30 mins while Hardware Societe was 1 hour. It was insane!
Anyway we got to seats at Hash first and I gotta say that the hot chocolate we ordered upon searching for recommendations on Instagram was pretty disappointing.

It was a little too thick and sweet for our tastebuds but nevertheless It got everyone snapping happily away because of its presentation. The chocolate was served in a chemical flask and the cup had a cloud of cotton candy on top. When you start pouring hot chocolate in, it starts to melt the cotton candy making it look like a cloud raining chocolate!
The mains though, were fantastic. My favourite was the cured kingfish that didn't sound too appetising but the combination of the fish and Rosti.. Perfect.

The eggs Benedict were made really well too! For Desserts we ordered Panna Cotta and while it looked super pretty, the texture of the Panna cotta could have been finer. But still!! Go ahead and order them because looking at them would make your day already!

Hash Specialty Coffee Roasters
Australia, 113 Hardware St, Melbourne VIC, Australia

Hopped over to Hardware Societe after that and ordered 2 of their specialities - the Fried Brioche and Lobster Burger. I would say that at this point we were all really full so we couldn't really enjoy the food thoroughly.
But the fried brioche was really really good. And the lobster burger was... Very decent as well. I could see why there were such long queues outside!

Hardware Societe Melbourne
Australia, 120 Hardware St, Melbourne VIC, Australia

We then drove to Warburton redwood forest. THIS IS A MUST GO GUYS! Totally no regrets making this detour out because this place was so so so surreal. The trees were lined up so perfectly, we joked about how OCD people would love this forest.

How can everything look so uniform?
The tall trees made really good picture spots but sadly our camera equipment did the place no justice at all. Thankfully I got to capture everything with my very eyes and I wish I could show you guys the sight I have in my mind right now. Serene, beautiful and really reminded me of how wonderful this world is and how much of this world I HAVE to see.
Second day's outfit from Shoplovet was something very casual as well, but can be dressed up or down easily. The Stripe Spaghetti top allows for some tummy space and I love thin straps like this because it gives you an impression of a leaner chest and shoulder.

Nightfall came really soon as we got too carried away shooting. And we scurried to pack up and stopped by for dinner at Innocent Bystander along our drive back to Melbourne city.
The restaurant had a bar at the side as they produced their own wines. Customers could taste wines while waiting for their seats and that was the highlight of the entire night. We had free, and good wine. Glass after glass, I think I had about 12 glasses in total! Bagged a bottle home because some were too good to be missed and they were really affordable!

Check back for Part 2: The Great Ocean Road Trip really soon!

Guide to Davao City, Phillippines

Hola hola! I'm back with another travel post (Like finally) Please pardon me for this one-month overdue post on my last trip to Davao, The Philippines as travelogues take an immense amount of time and effort to draft. Just look at the sheer number of photographs in this post!

For those of you that followed myself and the rest of the bloggers who went on the trip, you will know that we flew there with Cebu Pacific Air and the Philippine Department of Tourism - Davao.
It's a trip to really introduce a really underrated city in Philippines, Davao. I've never heard of the place prior to this trip, and I have no idea why, It's a GORGEOUS place with lots of highlands, nature, city life, and fun activities to do. Plus it is also said to be the "Singapore of the Philippines" because of its cleanliness, strict laws, and safety

Now let me take you through the entire 4 days we spent there!
First up, thanks to Cebu Pacific Air , we got to fly super comfortably. I got the front seats and boy, look at the leg space. It was so spacious I could stretch my legs out fully!
Smile magazine on board that kept me happy and entertained.
The entire flight took us about 4 hours to reach Davao, and we managed to snag a photo with the chirpy crew when all the passengers left the plane.
Totally loving the resort themed uniforms! Being on board with people with such happy vibes definitely set my mood right for the rest of the trip.
They say filipinos are great hosts, and that is totally TRUE.
When the pilots heard that we were the media team from Singapore covering Davao and Cebu Pacific Air, they very kindly asked us if we would be interested to see what the cockpit looked like. Of course we said YES. DUH. Who wouldn't want to sit in a real cockpit right. The plane literally just docked, so it's REAL.
Was super scared and wary not to touch anything in there because there were a million buttons that I cant comprehend hahaha.

The SIN-DAVAO is a brand new route launched by Philippines' largest Airline, Cebu Pacific Air in December last year. We can now enjoy thrice weekly, non-stop flights to and from Singapore to Davao easily!
Fares start as low as SGD182!

Day 1: Eden Nature Park

We headed back to rest for the night and got ready for the first day of adventure.
We were brought around the park, explained the different crops and agricultural practices of the city. Shown cultural treasures like the house in the above picture which the people from the ancient times used to live in.

Then came the highlight of the day - Adventure!
Many of you went crazy over this activity we did there, Sky Cycling. It was sooooo fun!
Imagine being up there in the sky where your view overlooks the entire park, and beyond. If you ask me, was it scary?
I would tell you the truth, that YES it was. Haha but that's because i'm a little scared of heights so my mind was very much focused on not falling off the line, hahahaha.
But the adrenaline rush? WORTH IT.
If you're an adventure junkie, this is a must go!
Another activity you can try is also the ZipLine, the standard flying fox where you zip from one place to another. So fun! And nope this was not scary at all, not even the least bit.
I thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous view while zipping across the sky.
Then there's this CRAZY one - The Sky Swing
I don't know what possessed me with the courage to try this out (because it wasn't part of the itinerary, but you had to volunteer to go up there). Basically you sit on this harness looking this and get pulled all the way up to about 8 storeys high (i kid you not, I almost peed in my pants just by getting pulled up LOL)
Then at the count of 3, you fall face first towards the ground before getting pulled up "alive" by the harness again. I tell you... I screamed till the cows went home HAHAHA.

But well, it has been my trophy whenever I talk about Davao to my friends because I was so brave :')
Eden Nature Park (Prices per pax)
Guided shuttle tour- PHP 120 (approx. SGD 3.50)
Sky Rider- PHP 150 (approx. SGD 4.50)
Sky Cycle- PHP 200 (approx. SGD 6)
Buffet Lunch- PHP 550 (approx. SGD 16)

We spent the first two nights at Park Inn by Radisson, and I love the colorful, modern concept of the cozy hotel that had a huge SM lanang mall beside it.

Day 2: Samal Island

Got ready for a day of snorkelling with my billabong sandals, Biore UV Sunspray, Mango Sunglases and Rinikini Bikini, which I didn't choose to wear for the day in the end because I needed something with more support, so I opted for a white crochet bikini set from Billabong!

Wearing Bikini Set from Billabong Singapore.
We took an early morning boat ride out to Samal Island, located 2 kilometres away from Davao City where we were on a Giant Clams Snorkeling Tour!
While on board.
We actually spotted wild dolphins in the water but they were too quick for me to whip out my camera to snap a photo of it. There were 3 of them, just jumping out of the water, swimming so carefree-ly.
Ahh, I wish I captured the moment to share with you guys!
Check out the clear blue waters that greeted us at Samal Island.
What I love about Davao is not only what they have to offer, but the fact that it isn't too crowded with tourists. We all know what happens to these beaches and resorts once they start getting commercialised,  something which i'm glad Davao isn't, and hope that it will never become.
Snorkel gears up!
Waters were really shallow that day and we got to go so much closer to the clams and even pick up starfishes from the ground!
Don't worry, we only picked them up for awhile, SUPER gently and placed them back safely after the photos, so no star fishes were harmed in the making of the shots below okkkk.
"Taklobo" Giant Clams Tour (Prices per pax)
Entrance Fee - PHP 100 (approx. SGD 3)
Rental of snorkel gear- PHP 100
Rental of rash guard- PHP 100
Boat rental (for 1-12 guests)- PHP 500

The Giant Clams tour is also a must-go for those that enjoy soaking in the deep blue seas. There's something so calming about the clear waters and the undisturbed wildlife in Davao that makes me want to show the world.

What's the day without some adrenaline rushed-adventures right?
It was Maxima Aqua Fun next!
Maxima Aqua Fun is a water themed park located in Samal Island where we did the super fun mega slide where we got thrown out into the sea via a water slide!
Credits: Samal Guide
Here's me moments before I got thrown into the sea, haha! I did not come back up looking this put-together for sure.
Maxima Aquafun (Prices per pax)
Day tour (adult) - PHP 300 (approx. SGD9)
*includes lifebelt, tram ride, unlimited use of waterslide, water blob, jumping board and canopy walk on weekends
This was our gorgeous hotel room for the rest of the days before we checked out, Seda Abreeza Hotel, Davao
Total room goals, seriously
The room was so spacious, service was top notch and really centrally located with a huge Abreeza mall next to us. A real big thank you to Seda Abreeza Hotel for housing us, and for being so generous and gifting us with a room to ourselves each.
We ended the night with a really sumptuous dinner with Mr Roberto Alabado and his team from the Philippine Department of Tourism - Davao with all their delicious local delights.
I'm not exactly a food blogger so the photos I took that night turned out quite unsatisfactory so for food recommendations, you can head over to my good friend's blog, explodingbelly.

After dinner, we were taken for a PUB CRAWL. YES, this was another surprise because I never expected Davao to have such a happening night life.
The highlight of the night was when we were taken to Huckleberry Southern Kitchen and Bar that served sooo many different kinds of Rum. We tried what felt like 20 different flavours in shot glasses and it was really interesting to see how they incorporated the local fruits like mango, soursop and even CHILLI into their rums.

Day 3: White Water Rafting

We set off really early in the morning because white water rafting required us to be taken to the highlands to prep ourselves before the actual rafting session begins!
We were taken by the Davao Wildwater Adventure team, and here's my outfit. I chose to wear long pants because I didnt want to get any tanner, but thank God it started to rain as we were in the middle of rafting!
This was my first time trying out an extreme sport like White Water Rafting and I gotta say that I have totally no regrets. This was THE highlight of my entire Davao experience and I'm so glad I pushed myself and went for it despite having so many questions and doubts in my head.
It really involved lots of team work and it might sound crazy but I enjoyed the rocky parts the most? Being all topsy-turvy in the raft and screaming your lungs out in the midst of it... is something we don't actually get to do very often.

So yes if you're interested to give white water rafting a try, contact those guys!
The guides were all super fun and professional that took care of our every needs really well :>
Pardon the shag face, all my foundation had worn off and we were tired LOL. But here are my 2 good friends that I made on the trip, Bunbun Juli and Clara (explodingbelly).

Davao Wildwater Adventure (Prices per pax)
Package rate of PHP 1700/ pax (min of 5 per group) (approx. SGD50)
Includes transportation (From Crocodile Park to Rafting Area and back), lunch and refreshments, use of paddle and boat as well as Raft Guide

On the way back we stopped by a crocodile farm and the guide recommended we try the crocodile ice cream. The name of it sounds so gross right???! Crocodile ice cream. But apparently they take the crocodile eggs and make them into ice cream. Someone said they grind real croc meat in it as well, but idk how true that is.
The ice cream is surprisingly REALLY creamy and smooth. Crocodile eggs do make really good ice cream heh! The only downside is that it's quite expensive, it's around SGD$4 for a cone that melted really quickly in the hot weather :(
Dinner was at a really fancy restaurant, the White House Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge hosted by Mt Roberto and the super lady behind the restaurant. Everyone were such good hosts it was such an eye opening experience to see how they treat their guests with so much attention and warmth.
The spread was insane and food just kept on coming. Stay tuned to a VLOG coming up where I'll be sharing more as well.

Our last meal!
Thank you Nuffnang Singapore, Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Department of Tourism for letting us experience Davao in such an awesome way. I can't thank you guys enough for all the effort that had been put into making this trip such a successful one.

And to you guys, YOU GUYS NEED to visit Davao now! Instead of the usual beach resorts we singaporeans always flock to, we can now have one more place added to the list!
Davao is really safe and clean, and in fact, is known to be the 4th safest city in the world with lots of strict laws. A really peaceful place that is suitable for the adventurous ones that are into sports like hiking, trekking, diving, snorkelling, water rafting etc. Couples that are looking for a romantic spot and beaches, or even families that would like to go on a fun family trip.
Davao City is the place I would definitely recommend!

Hope this was helpful and I definitely hope I did some justice to the city by sharing with you guys!
Check out my DAVAO Vlog here:

Oh yes, before I forget, a big THANK YOU to our 2 photographers that were so dedicated throughout the whole trip, making sure they captured the truest and most enjoyable moments.
They are both photographers and videographers based in Philippines, but they do travel so if you're in town or looking for a good photographer/videographer, check Christian and BJ out at @chriztiandeleon & @kitchenph08

Fighting for love

Life is full of temptations, but you have to make a choice and you have to honor your promise to the person. You have to respect yourself to be able to respect the other person’s feelings, because everyone can get hurt. That’s when you fight for yourself and you fight for the other person, because without them, it wouldn’t be the same.

Meet someone who won’t make you question your thoughts and your feelings. Meet someone who makes you feel safe. Meet someone you are scared to lose every day, but someone who will never let you get lost. Meet someone who doesn’t make you question yourself. Meet someone who makes you realize the magic of living, because that is the whole point.

Never let your heart compromise with ‘what if.’ Why do so many of us settle? Because we think it’s the best we deserve, or the most precious that we can find.

Choose someone who will do whatever it takes, because sometimes it takes a lot, and it is scary. Choose someone who is willing to risk themselves in the process because you would do the same. Choose someone who chooses you with the same promise you made yourself – a promise of happiness that comes with a price, but a price well worth it.

We cannot promise eternity but only hope for the best. When I choose you, I will choose only you. We cannot promise each other a forever, but when I am with you, I will be with only you.

A beautiful piece I read from ThoughtCatalogue that exactly explains my thoughts on relationships x I'm blessed to be able to share the same sentiments with Matt and we're able to be on the same page called life together :)

If you're interested to find out what/where we went in melb city, do check out the first part of the post!

Day 3
We spent the morning shooting around a garden in the city again, and the third theme of our graduation shoot was a full out glam one. We wore these dresses from Style Lease, and decided to bare it all in the cold winds to shoot. It's nothing we have done together as a group and my friends haven't experienced being photographed like that before so it was a whole new experience!
We were shivering so badly at some points but Andy was so nice to lend us his jacket, sweater gloves.. Everything LOL. Poor guy. But he remained professional throughout and insisted he wasn't cold hahaha ( what a fine young man, any takers? HAHA I kid )
I'll wait for the official photos (edited by andy himself) before sharing more!

Lunch was at Top Paddock, which was another famous brunch place recommended by many friends. If you followed me on Instagram you would have seen the commotion on one of the photos I posted of their Ricotta Pancakes. To be fair, I have and did give due credit to the restaurant for being a good brunch place and even recommended the pork belly dish. I still stand by my point about the importance of giving true and honest reviews about the food and the ricotta pancakes were not not-good, I merely said that I personally preferred the ones we have back at home better because they were less moist.

Seems like some people couldn't take the feedback and took offense to that, so.. I'm not gonna comment any further and let you guys be the judge for yourselves haha.
It's my personal platform and I don't see why anyone should be refrained from giving honest feedback (which really, is one way restaurants and people improve, no?) especially on my personal platform, and the funny part was that I actually said that I would recommend Top Paddock as a good brunch place.. Why are they still angry? We wonder. Hmm.

Moving on.

A visit to Melbourne city wouldn't be complete without Pidapipo , a gelateria located in town. I personally love the pistachio the most and loved how smooth and fine it was. If only it didn't melt so quickly!
The rest of the day was spent driving to Lorne, it was a little late when we arrived at the town so we decided to make some simple spaghetti at our gorgeous Airbnb for the night.

The next morning was spent chilling around Lorne. We visited Moons Licensed Espresso Bar for breakfast and I loved their croissants and breakfast there. My friend ordered the Brat and I thought it was perfect! Coffee was awesome as well :)

Wearing Textured Overlay Top from Shoplovet, available in a few other colors even though white is OOS now!

We then sat along the Lorne beach and chances upon a local brand called Ghanda and spent hours shopping in there haha. To be honest there's nothing much in Lorne to do except to check out cafes and chill, so that's what we did! Time passed so fast because we spent most of our time in the apartment doing silly things like playing bean boozeld and recording ourselves singing haha.

The next morning, we visited Teddy's Lookout, a 10 mins drive from Lorne city. The lookout was to this one view, which was breathtaking and we caught a rainbow too because it had been raining all day.
We then headed to The Bottle Of Milk, a must try if you're into burgers because they are cheap and good.
I got the breakfast burger - cold shower. And LOVED IT SO MUCH OMG. Everything was so hearty, fresh and yummy. Eggs, bacon, hash brown, avocado, cheese, ketchup etc, all for only $15 for a portion I could barely finish! Cappuccino was also awesome (Y) yay.

I then changed into something more casual, pairing Crochet Textured Top (white) with my favorite High Waisted Boyfriend Jeans

I love this outfit! It's so girly, simple to wear and yet really comfy. The denim jeans are the most flattering ones I've worn, and my friends on the trip with me all got themselves a pair immediately after they tried it on. A pity it is out of stock now as well, you guys really need to hurry next time!!!
But if you guys are really interested, you can drop Shoplovet an email to petition for a backorder HAHA.

We then set off to Port Cambell, our next destination on our GOR road trip. Along the way we stopped by the 12 apostles to take some photos.
The winds were SO STRONG there so please layer up before going! And brace yourself for ugly, pushing, rude tourists omgggggf they got me so mad. Everyone were vying for good photo spots and I don't understand why they can't take turns or even queue. If you watched my snaps you would see me ranting HAHA. But you would too if you were there because can you imagine someone literally PUSHING you out of your own photo??! Blood boil... Chill chill. Hahaha
We were so pissed we decided to head to the Grotto (10 mins away) before heading back to the 12 apostles again after the tour groups left.
The 12 apostles are indeed breathtaking !!! A pity the photos didn't do the place and sight justice again so you guys need to head there!
The Grotto was also a very interesting spot. A lot less crowded than 12 apostles which is literally heaven LOL. But the place is pretty small and I would say you'd only need around 20 mins for the place if you're taking photos. It overlooks out into the see through a little cave and it was so beautiful!
Here, I was wearing Drop Those Off Shoulder from Lovet, paired with a simple pair of white jeans and white sneakers. Going comfy seemed to be my go to everytime I travel because it's too troublesome to be climbing up and down, doing all the walking in anything uncomfortable.
I love this top for adding a little more "dressy" feel to my otherwise, casual outfit.
The sun was setting so we hurried back to the 12 apostles and the crowd finally cleared up. Phew.
Photos graphs were much nicer since there were Sun rays shining from behind the rocks and less annoying tourists around. But! It was a lot colder so please layer layer layer! Don't suffer like I did hah.

For dinner we checked out a pizza place near our Airbnb at port Campbell. The town looked like it came straight out of a movie scene set in the 1990s. Super old school!!!
But things there are not cheap at all. Be prepared to pay around $30 AUD per meal because the town services tourists mostly.

With that, we ended days 3 & 4, stay tuned to Day 5 where we hiked up The Pinnacle and conquered Grampians!

Go on a Macao Visual Tour with me!

Being an avid wanderlust-er , I often find myself craving to fly off to somewhere new, do different things and experience how it is like to live in another place. I absolutely love being able to explore a different country or city because I feel that it is only through travelling, that my horizon would expand. So despite travelling to so many different places already (I know, i'm truly blessed with so many opportunities to travel!) I'm still stuck whenever my friends ask me... where to, next?

So today, i'm gonna share a little bit about what goes on behind every trip. What determines my itinerary, and ultimately what gears me toward choosing the city to visit over another.

Firstly, I enjoy Food. So this is brainless. A place with good food? A place with LOTS of good food?
I'm sold.

Next, I fancy a place that is rich in culture, preferably something different from what I'm brought up with. That way I can learn more about the beauty of another culture, look at the costumes they wear and yes, the different ways they prepare their cuisines.
And lastly, the place must have something to do for everyone. An ideal destination would be one that encompasses all things fun, be able to satisfy my wanderlust from morning to night, and be able to cater to different types of travellers. The adrenaline junkies, the sport fanatics, the music lovers, the shopaholics, the foodies, the artsy-fartsy, and the party goers.

With everything combined... we get MACAO!

Macao, a world-class destination that leaves every heart fascination with its iconic cultural sights, thrilling adventures, entertaining performances, food, and various city festivals.
It is a city that I believe every traveller should visit because it is so vibrant and offers a wide array of activities for you to enjoy. Macao is also a very interesting city because it is one that blends the rich traditions of Chinese and Portuguese cultures. The result? One of a kind touches on their architectures, food and festivals.

I'm going to share a few of the sights and activities I would do the next trip to Macao, so sit back and enjoy! I hope you guys enjoy this post x
Macao International Fireworks Display Contest
Period: Every Sunday of September & 1st October 2016

The annual Macao International Fireworks Display Contest - universally acclaimed as one of the best, takes place on the Macao Tower Shorefront every year.
I love fireworks and I've been pretty much obsessed ever since witnessing it for the first time at NDP in primary 5. There's just something surreal and magical about fireworks that can take all your troubles away for the moment. The Macao International Fireworks Display Contest is gonna be one of the most amazing fireworks display you will ever see!
Over the years, over 100 teams from China, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Switzerland etc have participated in this world-class pyrotechnic shoot-out that can be enjoyed from many vantage points on the Macao Peninsula and Taipa Island.
And this is gonna be a fireworks contest, so you can only imagine how beautiful it would be!
This is going into my itinerary for sure.

Another festival that cannot be missed is the Macao Food Festival
If you live to eat (like myself) then this is enough to make you salivate! Every year around the November period, the Macao Tower is lined with street stalls, booths and tents that serves the best of Macao's food in one place!

There's also the Macao International Music Festival that i'm definitely signing up for!
Period: October
The Macao International Musical Festival is an annual event that brings together many international renowned artists together to give everyone a feast of the senses! Although I don't play any musical instruments myself (does the recorder count?) , I've always been intrigued by different kinds of music and have personally been to a lot of musical concerts all over the world.
At the Macao International Music Festival you can find a wide array of the different types of music that originates from the different parts of the world. So yes, from opera, to chamber music, to Chinese folk, jazz, and even broadway! Whatever genre you're into, I'm sure you will be able to find something that suit your tastebuds. And how often are you able to find so many different world-renown teams at one place?
Hosted at several world heritage sites like the Dom Pedro V Theatre, Mount Fortress and St. Dominic's Church, the ambience and view is bound to be such an enjoyment.
If music and food is not your thing, Macao is also a city that offers first class entertainment. You can visit The House of Magic, a one-of-a-kind multi-theatre attraction that brings forth a mind-blowing experience with their magic acts that are designed, curated and hosted by acclaimed illusionist, Franz Harary.

Looking for something kids friendly? The Pier 16 Macao 3D World will keep them entertained for sure!
Or how about the newly launched Anim'Arte Nan Vam that just opened its doors to the world on the 3rd of June this year.  The Anim'Arte Nan Vam is a new landmark for leisure, culture and creativity. Catch exciting cultural performances, dine by the Nan Vam Lake shop local creative products and more.
Watching the official video on the place made me wanna go there because it's so unique and interesting, it feels like a mini carnival happening all the time!
What about shopping, you ask?
Macao is the home to sooo many brands and shopping streets, both economical and luxury alike.
Pop by Sands Shoppes Cotai Central , The Venetian or One Central Macao for your luxury guilty pleasures, or the S. Domigos and Three Lamps Districts for some less-guilty shopping. haha!

All in all, Macao is making me super excited because of how lively the city is. This is how I plan my itinerary, how about you?
Stand to win a pair of tickets to Macao just by visiting Experience Macao-SG’s Facebook page, and leave a comment on their top post sharing which activity appeals to you and why you want to head to Macao to experience it yourself, with the hashtag #MacaoOnSocialSG to qualify!

Contest ends 5 July and winners will be announced on their page.

For more information on Macao, feel free to check out Macao's Tourism Board and follow them on their Facebook and Instagram pages for more tips and places to visit!

3 Looks with Ripped Boyfriend Denim Jeans

$

I wanted to do a post showing you guys how I created 3 different looks with the same pair of denim boyfriend jeans. I personally love reading such posts and find them super informative, so I hope you guys enjoy such posts too!

Here are 3 looks I styled around the High Waisted Boyfriend Jeans from Lovet, sadly it is now out of stock, but they do carry other bottoms as well so you guys can check that out!
Otherwise, I managed to find some similar styles here and here.

LOOK #1 - CASUAL CHIC
Top: Topazette , similar here
Jeans: Lovet
Shoes: Forever 21
Earrings: Bugis Street

This look was slightly casual, edgy and yet something about those heels and high neck silhouette makes it kinda classy at the same time. I opted for a top bun, something a little unlike my usual style but a change is always good, right?
For the bun, I DIY-ed myself a sockbun the previous night! Simply cut up the end of a sock that you don't want anymore, roll it up and it would make such a huge difference to how your bun looks.
Ryan (@riversandtwilight) shot these photos for me and I joked about how ghetto I looked with my big hoop earrings. HAHA

LOOK #2 - BIG COMFY SWEATER
Cable Knit sweater: Forever 21 (similar here)
Sneakers: Taobao
Necklace: Forever 21

Can you go wrong with a big comfy sweater like this? This just made me wanna sleep in it! Of course, I was scurrying to look for a place with air-con after this because it's simply too impractical  to be wearing something like this in Singapore. But I would totally style my outfit this way if I had the chance to!

LOOK #3- DISTRESSED GRUNGE
Faux Leather Jacket: Primark London (similar here)
Shoelace Top: Wild Peonies

This look, I paired my leather jacket that was a little too big on me because I got it for the winter and deliberately bought it one size bigger for me to layer.
You get the look I'm going for, right?

All photos are by Ryan, edits by me

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Do let me know if you guys want me to style any other pieces and I'll be happy to do it for you guys. Till then, i'll see you in my next post xx

Melbourne Part 3: Grampians + Queen Victoria Market

Read Part 1: Melbourne City + Brunch Places in the City
Part 2 : Great Ocean Road + 12 Apostles + The Grotto + Lorne

The next morning, we took a long drive out to the Grampians. It was a 3hours journey in the rain and our hopes were crushed because the weather forecast didn't look too good. Grampians is a place where you'd trek to see all the beautiful rocks and formations and we knew it would be difficult to climb in the bad weather.
But before that, we had a stopover at the cafe nearby to grab some lunch (wouldn't recommend this cafe) and wait for the rain to subside.

Coffee was not bad though!
After a gruelling 3 hour drive, we finally reached and eventually decided on doing the hike since we spent so much effort getting there.
I would say.... It wasn't worth it. Hiking in 9 deg c weather with the rocks being so slippery (I fell 3 times LOL) and the rain just ruining all your clothes, hair and make up... It would have been so much better if the sun cooperated.
Look at all of us unglam ahjummas LOL. Really though, in times like this you only care about survival and not fashion anymore. haha
You get what I mean.
Sorry friends don't kill me for posting this up HAHA but let's commemorate it LOL
But I would say the view is quite gorgeous once you make it halfway/to the top!
I'm glad we did it! The sight may look very nice in the photos here, but when you're there you're just kinda used to it already because you've been seeing the same scenery for 2 hours, climbing up. If you get what I mean.
So yes do check the weather forecast and if it shows that it would be raining, a change of plans would be better!

For the hike I had to layer up like crazy because of the winds, rain and also the 9 degrees weather up on the Pinnacle. I chose a simple white top like this one from Lovet because I knew it wouldn't go wrong no matter what color, prints or outerwear I throw over it.

Dinner for the night was cup noodles at the convenience store because everything was closed by the time we descended -.-

The drive back was absolutely terrifying as well because the roads are so so windy, wet and pitch dark. I could barely see anything beyond 2m despite turning having the car on high beam. The ride back was another 3 hours, which was pretty torturous after you spent 2.5 hours hiking in the rain. Not to mention, animals like kangaroos would often dash out on the highways so I had to be extra careful and alert to not run over any of them, although I had a very close shave with a kangaroo that decided to hop out of nowhere :/. Thank god it didn't come out 1 second earlier else I would have to do an E break and that would have been so dangerous 😱

If possible, avoid the freeways before nightfall because it can be very very dangerous!

The next morning, we set off really early back to Melbourne city for the last day. First stop was Oscar Cooper, another really awesome good brunch place.
I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and their eggs Ben was served on a bed of gash instead of bread, topped with avocado 😍 my friends ordered the pulled pork hash, another interesting dish that differed from others. The service was superb and the waiter was pretty cute too! Hahahaha

We then headed to Southwharf DFO, a huge outlet mall and spent the next 3 hours in there. You guys need to visit southwharf if you're in Melbourne city! The shopping there isn't exactly great but it's an outlet mall so you get really good deals :)

At night, we went to Jang Gun , a pretty authentic Korean restaurant (yes we can't get enough of Korean food lol) for some hearty, warm Army stew.
The army stew at Jang Gun was pretty good and we enjoyed it so much! The restaurant was really packed and we had to make reservations so you guys might want to do the same if you're planning on some Army Stew in the cold. I would say skip the bulgogi beef because it was tasteless, and focus and keep adding on to the army stew LOL.

Since it was our last night of the trip, we headed to the Howler Bar, as recommended by our Airbnb host. It's a pretty happening bar I must say! Drinks were not exactly cheap but I love their own concoctions and the vibe of the place :)

Before our flight the next morning, we managed to pull ourselves out of bed at 6 am ( yes omg too early ESP after a super long late night ) to go to the Queen Victoria Market - it's a pity we only left this to the last but we wanted to buy some local produce back so it would be impractical to lug it around our road trip.

But at the market you can find almost anything! From clothes to toys, to vegetables, honey, nuts, cheese, meat, seafood and more.
Oh yes, please grab a cuppa from Market Lane Coffee located in the market itself, it was the best coffee I had the entire trip and that says a lot because Melbourne has very very good coffee almost everywhere. Well except the one from we-know-where.

So that was it! We flew back to Singapore and now I'm back here facing reality and questioning why I decided to leave so much work undone before flying off LOL.
It was such a good trip, I would definitively go back to Melbourne for sure in the near future !

Hope you guys enjoyed this little travelogue of mine, and feel free to ask me questions in the comments or snapchat me or whatever. You guys know where to reach me :)

For those that are heading to Melbourne soon,  have a safe trip and HAVE FUN (this is the most important hahaha) AND DON'T BREAK PARKING RULES they are super strict there. Please do not be like me and my friends, open your eyes big big big big and make sure you're not parking at a loading/unloading bay because they will send you a fine all the way back in singapore. HAHAH

It was AUD152 by the way, and it was totally because we were oblivious and unfamiliar withe the parking signs and rules. Please ask the locals if you're unfamiliar too guys! The fine is really not worth it ><

Glowing like a Golden Goddess | Bio-essence 24K Bio-Gold Miracle Finisher Review

Can I just start by saying that this is one of the best self-directed blog post I've worked on?
Despite being able to dress up as a (subtle) golden goddess, I found a product I'm in love with that I can't wait to share with you guys.

They say having a good skincare regime is very important when it comes to having healthy, clear skin. But what many of us don't know is that bad skin does not only come from inappropriate skincare habits, but also our environment and its pollutants.
Living in a city, we are often exposed to many harmful pollutants. Think about it, how many cars are we exposed to in a day? What about the smog and particles that are released into the environment?

As city goers, more attention and protection needs to be taken when it comes to these pollutants that we can't see with our naked eye, much less take steps to prevent them from sitting on our skin.
And that is why I'm super happy to share the new Bio-essence 24K Bio-Gold Miracle Finisher. The final step to everyone's skincare to achieve flawless, healthy skin.
The 24K Bio-Gold Miracle Finisher acts as a sealer to lock up all of the skincare products that have been applied prior to the finisher, reducing loss of moisture to the environment throughout the day.
Simply go ahead with your normal skincare regime - cleanse, tone, moisturize, SPF, then apply the 24K Bio-Gold Miracle Finisher over .
This will not only add an extra sheen to your skin, leaving it looking luminous and firm, it also increases the efficacy of all your skincare products.
The texture is very lightweight, non-sticky and make up definitely glides on much smoother.
The 24K Bio-Gold Miracle Finisher also protects your skin from all the harmful pollutants by forming a transparent veil. With that, there is also a protective layer in between your pores and cosmetics! Bid clogged pores, skin irritation goodbye and let's welcome a smooth, flawless canvas woohoo!
I also loveeee the miracle finisher because not only does it help to minimize the appearance of pores, make your skin look softer and smoother... It also gives it a matte finish!
Everyone should know that I'm a huge fan of the dewy skin look, but more often than not I will turn into a greaseball just a few hours in, given our humid climate. What I like about this is that even though it mattifies my skin, it doesn't lose its dimension. Instead, the gold flakes in the finisher gives me a natural, from-within-radiance that I personally find rare in other products i've tried.

For many years, gold have been used in beauty products to maintain youth and beauty. Even in ancient times! The 24K Bio-gold acts as a booster that renews skin and is a powerful anti-oxidant that helps fight against free radicals effectively.
Try it out today and let's be golden goddesses together!~

Retailing for $39.90 a bottle, you can get your hands on the Bio-essence 24K Bio-Gold Miracle Finisherat Guardian, Watsons and NTUC Fairprice.

Hope you guys found this review useful! Even though this post is sponsored by Bio-essence, I hope you guys trust that I have personally tried and love the product before writing this post. Love yall!

CONTOUR & HIGHLIGHT | KAT VON D SHADE N LIGHT CONTOUR FACE PALETTE REVIEW & SWATCHES

Hello guys!
I'm back with another review, and today we are playing with the Kat Von D Shade N Light Contour  Face Palette WHOOPWHOOP! Can everyone just rejoice now???? I mean i've been hearing so much about this brand and the fact that I could only hear and see other people play with their make up while I can't get my hands on them because they were not in Singapore yet was the most torturous part.
But thank god Sephora has decided to include Kat Von D Cosmetics in their stores starting July this year!

If you are on a lookout for a contour and highlight palette, this is one I would definitely recommend, especially to those who are already a little well versed with contouring powders because these are not the cheapest, and are VERY pigmented so unless you're someone that knows how to control the application, I wouldn't really recommend this.

Check out the video below if you want to see how I do my contour and highlight and also for the first impression of this palette :)

Please subscribe to my Youtube channel if you wanna catch first hand updates!

DETAILS

6 Matte shades - 3 highlight and 3 contour shades
Highlight shades: Lucid (almost white), Lyric (yellow for brightening), Levitation (salmon)
Contour Shades: Sombre (Ash brown, for lighter skin), Shadow Play (warmer brown for bronzing) , Subconscious (dark brown, more to the warmer side)

PROS

- The powders blend like a dream and are SUPER pigmented and finely milled. Quality is amazing and lasting power is really good too.
- Comes with a big huge mirror for touch ups
- A wide range of shades for people with different skin tones
- Different powders for different uses, white for highlight, yellow for brightening, salmon for cancelling redness

CONS

- Price point, it is not cheap at $73
- All matte shades, it's a con only for people who would like some variety in finishes
- Being super pigmented can be a pro or a con, if you're not careful you will apply too much and you may look overdone
- Size of palette is pretty huge if you're gonna bring it to travel

OVERALL

It is a really good product that I would recommend to those who already contour and highlight their faces very often. Also, if you're a fan of matte highlights, this palette has one of the best range of matte highlight shades that are very pigmented I've come across.

I wouldn't recommend this to beginners who are just starting to learn how to contour and highlight. Firstly you're only going to be using at most 2 to 3 shades in the palette. Also if you're just starting out, the last thing you want to do is overdo it! I personally contour and highlight my face everyday and I went a little too heavy handed the first time I tried it (as you can see in the video), so if you're a beginner and on a hunt for a good contour to try, you can give products like Hoola by Benefit, or Etude House Play Stick a try.

Kat Von D Cosmetics is available at Sephora Singapore from July 2016 onwards.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Moisturize in 10 seconds! | Vaseline Spray Moisturizer Review

Is moisturizing your body too much of a hassle for you?
Well. I'm gonna be honest here, IT IS VERY TROUBLESOME for me and I feel quite embarrassed saying this as a beauty blogger because sometimes I skip this step and neglect the skin on my body :(
As a result, the skin on my body is often a lot more dull, dry and rough compared to my face!

I've reached the point where any form of help would be greatly appreciated.
So for all you busy bees and lazy bums out there, myself included, we can now REJOICE because Vaseline Spray Moisturizers are here to save the day!

Vaseline challenged me to moisturize my body within 10 seconds and I gladly took the challenge because you know... #challengeacceptedwithmong hahaha. But seriously though, I was full of confidence even before filming the challenge because I tried it beforehand and the spray can was so easy to use!
The nozzle sprays out an appropriate amount of fine, fast absorbing Vaseline moisturizer in seconds, and all you need to do is to spread it out all over with your hands and you're good to go!
There are now 3 variants catered to different needs - Advanced Strength for the ones with sensitive skin, Deep Restore to nourish dry skin and Aloe Soothe, for soothing calming skin.

I love these spray moisturizers not only because they literally take me only 10 seconds to apply, they are also very moisturizing on the skin, lightweight, non-greasy and the micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly makes it super fast absorbing and effective!
They also left my skin with a very healthy glow that remained throughout the day, but surprisingly, without the greasiness nor stickiness - it's no wonder these have been such a favourite amongst my friends and family ever since I got them. They have also been coming with me on my trips because nothing screams more meh than feeling eeeky with greasy arms and legs throughout the day with heavy moisturizers right?

Try out the 10 seconds challenge today with the Vaseline Spray Moisturizers and I'm sure you will be wow-ed too!
